Mobium Creative Group named Agency of Record for the 2006 PGA Championship 2004-08-26 Mobium Creative Group, one of the nation’s most award-winning business-to-business integrated branding and communications firms has been named agency of record for the 88th PGA Championship at the Medinah Country Club. Mobium will develop a fully integrated marketing communications program for this internationally renowned event that will include print, interactive, collateral, broadcast and outdoor advertising. The PGA Championship is returning to the Medinah Country Club in 2006. Medinah hosted it’s first PGA Championship in memorable fashion in 1999 when Tiger Woods defeated Spain’s wunderkind Sergio Garcia in a final day shoot-out that the golf world will never forget. Medinah is ranked among the top golf courses in the country and has hosted the 1949, ’75 and ’90 U.S. Open’s. “The PGA Championship attracts millions of viewers. This is one of the highest profile assignments that we’ve received recently and is an indicator of the blurring of the lines between pure business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing. Mobium will be working across all categories, applying our media agnostic approach that has been successful with many pure b-to-b companies,” says Guy Gangi, partner, Mobium Creative Group. “The PGA choose Mobium because we understand and can integrate a program around a big idea. In partnership with the PGA and Medinah Country Club, our work will touch everything from the corporate chalets to ticket sales. We also plan to leverage untraditional media as a major component in this program. Which just goes to show that the PGA recognizes the importance of evolving media as a way to reach new audiences and strengthen ties with existing ones,” adds Gordon Hochhalter, partner, Mobium Creative Group.
